Jeff has held multiple Board Member, CEO, President and COO positions during his 30+ year leadership career. His experience spans across start-ups, small privately-held, and large public enterprises including ADP, Western Digital, Litton Industries (now Northrup Grumman), and most recently as the CEO of mobile game developer MobilityWare, and COO of a Fintech start-up spun out of Acorns called Blast.
During his recent five year tenure at MobilityWare, the company grew to become one of the world's largest publishers of casual mobile games. Revenues grew seven-fold, EBITDA grew four-fold, and the employee base grew from 30 to nearly 200 under Jeff’s leadership. Broadly recognized for its team-based, employee-centric culture, MW won multiple awards for both innovation and culture, earning a 4.7 star-rating on GlassDoor.
Jeff has vast industry experience including mobile apps, mobile gaming, automotive, consumer electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, and retail. His B-2-B and B-2-C product and service experiences include SaaS, game/app development, data pipelines & analytics, Cloud computing, hardware manufacturing, software development, internet commerce, data/analytics/business intelligence, IT services and most recently AI, AR and machine learning.
Jeff has advised numerous early stage companies through his affiliations with OCTANe LaunchPad, Tech Coast Angels, ABL (a CEO roundtable), EvoNexus, the Cove at UCI, and TriTech SBDC. He has been both a judge and a mentor/coach for business plan competitions at the graduate and undergraduate levels at USC, Chapman, UCI and Pepperdine, and a mentor at numerous Start-Up Weekends.
Jeff received his BA in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, where he played varsity basketball, and was editor in chief of the yearbook.
